Episode 2: Beauty In Women

Hey y’all!!

Thank God its a Weekend Right! After all the hardwork throughout the week, we deserve a little break! Hope it went on well beloved. So today am going to write about this lady that really inspires me! I actually started following her of recent during the COVID19 lock down, and I really fall in love with her love for God through watching her going beyond ministries episodes, reading her books and watching some of the movies she has featured in ( actually I got to know her after watching a movie called War Room which inspired me a lot). I think some of you may know her……..

Introducing to you Priscilla Shirer

Priscilla Shirer is an American author, motivational speaker, actress and a bible teacher. Through the expository teaching of the Word of God to women, her desire is to see women not only know the uncompromising truths of Scripture intellectually but experience them practically by the power of the Holy Spirit. And I think that is what I love most about her but honestly speaking, I love every thing she does.

I love the fact that she loves women and works towards making women better though exposing them to the word of God, it inspires me to love God. This is evident in the books that she has written, the movies that she has appeared in, it’s amazes that she encourages women to include God in there life and to make him apart of their life. Her love for God and her ministry also inspires me a great deal….. Whenever she preaches or just talks about God, it’s so evident that she has a relationship with God and this inspires me to want to work on my relationship with God. She still loves and involves her family in her ministry which is wonderful and to sum it all I just get so inspired by her especially spiritually.

Besides her inspiration to me, I also chose to talk about Priscilla because I think she has inspired alot of women spiritually and also motivated people especially women to do whatever they want to do by fighting on their knees which is the most important thing. She and her husband have a ministry called Going Beyond Ministries which is focused on the expository teaching of the Word of God. They say that; “We are committed to teaching the uncompromising truths of His Word. Our desire is not only for all to understand His written Word but for all to experience His Power!”

This lady is an inspiration!

Priscilla Shirer has published numerous books, including A Jewel in His Crown, Discerning the Voice of God, The Resolution for Women, God is Able and Fervent, all these books are based on the scriptures and enougrages people to include God in their life. I have watched some of the movies she has featured in, two of which are Overcome and War Room which I love passionately and I have watched them over and over again. I love the stories of these movies, they are Christian movies and I really encourage you to watch them if you haven’t watched, am sure you will love and enjoy them.

These are some of her quotes that I love;

“Prayer is the portal that brings the power of heaven down to earth. It is kryptonite to the enemy and to all his ploys against you.”

“You write out your prayers so you “won’t forget” . . .won’t forget who the real enemy is, won’t forget the One in whom your hope lies, won’t forget your real need and dependencies are and later, won’t forget the record of how God responds.”

“Satan is nothing but a copycat, trying desperately to convince you he’s more powerful than he actually is.“

“Be ready to see your eyes opened as you close them in prayer. One day soon a whole new kind of woman is going to be emerging from that prayer closet. A free one. A rested one. A contented one.”

“The enemy works overtime to dismantle anything resembling peace.”

“You can’t play games with God and expect to win.”

“Make sure your life writes a story worth reading. Your story starts with God.”

“Every decision you need to make, every task you need to accomplish, every relationship you need to navigate, every element of daily life you need to traverse, God has already perfectly matched up with an equivalent-to-overflowing supply of His grace. “

My best quote from the War Room!

As I conclude, I want to make a disclaimer, I am not a feminist, I actually advocate for gender equality since we are all human beings created in the image of God I believe that we are supposed to be given equal opportunities. So I repect both men and women, am just trying to celebrate women.

Till then esteemed readers! Thanks for reading.

Cheers to all the women!

  1. I think because you do support gender equality, you are a feminist.🤷🏿‍♀️ (by the dictionary meaning of the word). The word doesn’t have to have a negative connotation. You get to define the kind of feminist you want to be. But you also don’t need a label to advocate for decency and common courtesy among the sexes.
    Cheers to the women!!
