Appreciation

Just a simple word with great impact on someone.

Hey you’ll! Hope you had a wonderful weekend, Happy New week dear readers, may whatever that you work on be successful.

“Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well”

Voltaire.

Do you say thanks to the people who do good things for you? Do you actually appreciate them? Do you thank or appreciate your parents, friends, children, relatives and above all Do you appreciate God your maker? Those are some questions to ponder on as we carry on with today’s topic.

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

1 Thessalonians 5:18

To appreciate according to Google, means to recognize the full worth of………. And to thank is to express gratitude to (someone). In my own opinion, I would say that appreciation is much greater than to be thankful, because appreciation recognizes the value of whatever has been done, and to be thankful is basically to show gratification. Although we would agree that they are more or less the same, Right!

When you are grateful, fear disappears and abundance appears”.

Anthony Robbins.

Well, however you may understand those words, it doesn’t matter. All I want to put across is that they may same like very small and short words but extremely improtant in life. Everyone wants and should be appreciated and thanked for whatever contribution they make in your life, career, education among others. People feel great whenever they do anything good and they are appreciated, those words “thank you!” and “I appreciate!” Means a whole world to most people, I for one, just one of those two words is very enough for me to feel great about myself. You don’t necessarily have to do anything big for me, to show how thankful you are just say thank you or I appreciate, from your heart, it’s enough for me to do exactly that the next time.

Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough”.

Oprah Winfrey.

Always be thankful and appreciative for everything good in your life, however small it may seem there is someone out there who is wishing just to get exactly that. Some people take the things that they receive from life for granted, they never take time to be thankful and grateful for them. For instance, the breath of life, the parents you have or family, the body parts that you have, the house that you sleep in, the freedom among others. I basically mentioned those things because they look small and usual yet very essential for you as a person. Think about it, let’s say the body parts do you even thank God for you eyes, nose, lips, hands, head, legs those small small things there are people who don’t have them, so if you have one or both of the body parts be thankful. As for the breath, that is what your supposed to be thankful for every single second of your life, I mean can you even live for a year without it, can you? It looks usual but just always take time and kneel down just to only thank and be appreciative to the Creator for giving it to you. I mean the breath is a very very great and priceless gift, please be grateful for it.

Tell it to people and please mean it.

Being thankful and appreciative doesn’t hurt at all, rather it adds favour upon your life, who doesn’t want favour. If you thank someone for any thing that they have done, be sure that they will gladly do it the next time. And I repeat everyone, absolutely everyone would love to be appreciated, and it is just fair to thank and appreciate people for whatever good small thing that they do. In most cases we Children, don’t thank our parents for taking care of us and paying our tuition, and paying for our bills every single day, likewise some parents never thank their children for doing house work, we all think that those are usual things because they are our duties and responsibilities. Well, that are but whenever you are thankful there is that extra energy and pasion that the people doing those things add in. Try it out and you will be amazed.

“Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings

William Arthur Ward

How do you appreciate and thank people? Some of us really do thank people for the things they do religiously, but the manner in which we do it isn’t pleasing at all, where by you only thank people just for the sake. Friends you rather not thanks anyone than to do it without positive emotions attached, just keep you thanks to youself rather than just throwing it around without meaning. One of the major reasons for that word is for people to feel your gratitude, of which it comes after your truly grateful for that particular thing, so that it makes the other party feel good and happy about it, so if you’re not grateful just keep it and don’t mention it. Some people have made most words lose meaning because they don’t mean them when they utter them.

“Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,”

Ephesians 5:20

Being thankful and appreciative has to come direct from the heart. Please be genuine when using such words, Mean them.

Therefore my dear readers, I urge you to be thankful and appreciative of everything, however tiny or small it may seem. And when your at it don’t for get to make it genuine, make it come from the heart and above all mean it. Let people recognize how grateful you are with your thanks and appreciations.

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them

John F. Kennedy
